About

Francesco Zonca was born in Borgomanero, Italy.

After earning a degree from "Università degli Studi di Pavia" in building engineering and architecture and from "Tongji University" in architecture and urban planning, Shanghai, he worked at "Sa-Architecture" in Milan, then he moved to Tokyo to work at "Sou Fujimoto Architects" where he is currently working as a Senior Designer.

In 2020, Francesco Zonca established his own firm "Francesco Zonca Studio" (in parallel to Sou Fujimoto Architects), with which he deepens his passion for designing furnitures and interior spaces and he began to work as a freelance product designer for various private clients, collaborating with numerous design studios around the world.

The use of clean and simple lines translated into design it's his strong point, always respecting the important tradition of pure and tactile materials.
